Easter Weekend

Hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend because we sure did! Saturday I had a Family shoot on Beacon Hill then Linc and I dropped Rush off with some Ohana and went on a date (: We went to eat at this mean restaurant called Hawaiian Sun where they serve local kine food. It was SO yum AND cheap! You can't beat that!! We def had our local food fix that should last us umm maybe a week. Two tops. ha ha ha. After we ate we went to see the new Madea movie; it was just alright. I felt like they "tried" to hard to make it funny. I mean, there were still some pretty hilarious lines but a lot felt forced? That's just me though.

Sunday we got together with our Primacio Ohana and celebrated Easter along with Dave's birthday! Because the weather was ugly, the keiki did the Easter egg hunt inside. Since Rush is the youngest, she got to go crawl around and take first pick at the eggs!! :) At first she would crawl to the first egg and stop to pick it up and play with it, but once I showed her how to put it in her basket, it was ovah! lol. She crawled to every egg in sight and automatically put it in her basket. It was too cute. One of the eggs she happened to put in her basket was the Golden Egg which had $5 inside!! The rest of her eggs either had coins or candy inside. Overall it was such a wonderful Sunday, spent with wonderful people.

I'm so grateful for Jesus' atoning sacrifice and the opportunity that we have to be able to return to him and our Heavenly Father again. I'm also soooo grateful for all the people we call family up here in Washington. It makes us not miss home and our families back home so much.

Pho pho din din

Today I woke up from the sound of a front door slamming. At first I thought: 'that's the neighbors door.' Then I thought: 'that was kinda loud to be the neighbors door?' Then I hear someone taking off their shoes and then our room door opens! It was Lincoln! The first thought that crossed my mind was: 'Did me and Rush really just sleep all the way til 5pm?!' (5pm is the normal time Linc gets home everyday from work.) I quickly grabbed my phone and saw that it was [only] 11:00 am. I know what you're thinking, 'must be nice' ha ha well Rush has her OWN schedule and so by the time she wants to sleep its 1 or 2 in the AM....so our normal wake-up time is around 10-11am every morning. YUP.we.are.night.owls.

Anyways, so Linc had come home early because he's sick. He's been feeling sick the past couple of days but today he just felt horrible. For those of you who know him, know he DOESN'T miss work. No matter what. He's just like his dad when it comes to working....for better or worse, in sickness and in health...hahaha no but seriously, they NEVER miss work unless it's something MAJOR.

So the first thing Linc did was jump into bed with me and Rush and knock out. He had a fever, chills and a bad bad cough. :-( My poor husband. I felt so bad because I hate seeing him or anyone I love in pain. BUT this gave me an opportunity to take care of him for once because Linc has a really strong immune system (compared to mine) so he hardly ever gets sick. Since we've been together (since summer of '07) this is only the 2nd time he's been like sick, sick. Yeah he's gotten little coughs here and there but for him to be so sick that he has to miss work...that's rare.

In our house, whenever someone is sick they get to have w h a t e v e r they want! So Linc wanted PHO for dinner. For those of you who don't know what PHO is, it's a Vietnamese beef and noodle soup. I am honestly NOT a fan of it at all. I tried it once and yuuuuck...but since Linc is sick and wanted to eat there, we went.

We got there and this restaurant had other options besides just the Pho so me and Rush shared a small mixed plate of chicken, short ribs and rice...yuummm! OH, Rush and I also shared a bommmb Honey Dew Bubble Drink. I looove bubble drinks. And I love love LOVE bubble drinks with extra bubbles in them!
