Mother's Day 2012

I had the most Amazing/Wonderful/Memorable Mother's Day thus far!

We started off our day by sleeping in and relaxing! Then at 1pm we all went to Church as a Family. The girls wore these cute dresses my Nana Kalama sent up with my parents when they came the other week. I figured Mother's Day would be the perfect time for them to wear it :) The messages shared in church were very uplifting and eye opening! I loved it!

After Church we dropped the girls off at home with Aunty Nia and Linc and I went out to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory out in Bellevue. (I know, breaking the Sabbath; JUDGE ME!) I had never eaten there before, not even at the one back home and Linc and I were suppose to go on a date this past Friday BUT things came up so I figured why not just go out for Mother's Day?

The food was soooo yum! For appetizers we got the Spicy Ahi Tempura roll and it was so delish! For our Entree's Linc got the Ribeye with Mashed Potatoes and I got the Macaroni and Cheese Burger! FAT STATUS, I know, but I've always heard that their Mac and Cheese was to die for so I thought why not try it, and better yet, on a burger?!?! Hahaha. Unfortunately, both Linc and I could only finish half of our food; we knew we HAD to get dessert so we needed to save room. Linc ordered the Fresh Banana Cream Cheesecake and I ordered the Godiva Brownie Sundae. (I know what your thinking, you went to the CHEESECAKE FACTORY and ordered a BROWNIE SUNDAE???) The truth is, I honestly thought that the Cheesecake they had to offer would be the same type of Cheese cake we can get from Safeway. Boy, was I BEYOND Wrong! Their Cheesecake was nothing compared to the store bought kine! It's way lighter and fluffier yet it was still rich with cheesecake flavor, if that makes any sense? I had never had REAL Cheesecake before and I will NEVER get store bought Cheesecake EVER again! So technically you can't really blame ME for not knowing, right? At least I can say, "Now I know." ;)

After we ate we walked around the city for a bit to sight see as well as walk-off some of that million calorie meal we just had. Then we made our way to look for the Seattle Temple! (It's called the Seattle Temple but it's located in Bellevue. Weird. I know.) But on the way to the Temple Linc drove past his job site their currently working at in Bellevue! It was cool/humbling to see one of the jobs my Hubby busts his butt at everyday to provide for our little family!

As we got to the Temple a feeling of excitement came over me, this was the first time since we've been here in WA (for 3 years) that I'd ever seen where the nearest Temple to us! Definitely made me APPRECIATE how lucky we were to live soooo close to the La'ie Temple and how we ALWAYS got to see its beauty! So for those of you reading this that still live at home (La'ie/Kahuku) PLEASE don't take the Temple for granted! ESPECIALLY if you are Temple Worthy, visit it as much as you can! Because although the Seattle Temple is about 30 minutes away from us, the La'ie Temple is only a 5 minute walk or drive from you guys! But I also know that there are still people around the world that travel for more than a day to see their nearest Temples!!!

We walked the Temple grounds and it was absolutely breath taking! The spirit was SO Strong, it was beautifully amazing :) There are several gardens with benches and open grass areas for pondering, so Linc & I sat and talked for awhile. It felt like we had NO Troubles. NO Worries. NO Stress. Just feelings of Peace & Serenity. It was perfect!

After our talk we continued walking around and just enjoyed being there. We laughed, We smiled, We hugged, We kissed, I cried; (I say "I" cried because my husband is not a very emotional person lol so I look like a cry baby compared to him.) because being there was just another testament that Heavenly Father LIVES and he is with us ALWAYS! No matter what we're going through or where we are in life, he is next to us, guiding us, giving us comfort and love. He DOES answer our prayers and he WANTS to BLESS us! WE just have to LET him<3

~ Eleven random things about our little Family ~

1. Linc and I have like a gazillion pillows on our bed that we BOTH use to sleep with! Haha. And we HAVE to use 2 separate blankets because *ahem SOMEONE (Linc) is a blanket hogger...and he hogs a King Sized Blanket, mind you! So Vizion and I share our own King Sized Blanket, lol. (Rush sleeps on her own bed, Thank Goodness!)

2. Rush is too darn smart for her age! For example; she knows how to count to 5....in TONGAN! lol Hawaiian is a little trickier because it has one extra syllable. She says "Excuse Me" if she's trying to get past you, She says "Bless you" if you cough or sneeze, and she knows all of mine and her daddy's immediate family by NAME and that's if she sees a picture OR just hears their voice, she knows.  Did I mention she's still only ONE? "Yup, Buddy!"

3. As long as Vizion is fed, she is the most chillllllll baby ever! :)

4.  Vizion is my early bird (up by 7) while Rush needs her beauty rest (sleeps 'til 10).

5. Linc and I are on the Body By Vi 90 day challenge! (He's just doing it to support me BUT the results are showing on HIM alot faster than they are on ME! Eeh.) I plan on losing 50lbs by October so if you see me when I come home (in October) and I look like a fat crap you can call me out on it because that means I FAILED! Ahahahaa. I'm putting myself on blast to give me eeeven more motivation cuz I honestly am determined to reach my goal. ;)

6. You can NEVER have a dull moment with Rush. She knows just what to say or do to brighten up anyone's day! Hahaha.

7. With my parents coming to visit last week, we've realized Lincoln and my Dad have too many things in common! It honestly tripped my mom and I out!

8. We plan on moving home within the next 5 years. Don't get us wrong, we LOVE it here in Washington but ain't NO place like home!

9. We believe that EVERYTHING happens for a reason.

10. Linc and I recognize how BLESSED we are in SO many ways! One way is Financially; and we KNOW without a doubt it is from paying an honest tithe. I'm not saying we're ballin' or anything, but we see the difference from when we wouldn't pay tithing and how much we would struggle with our finances, to paying our tithing diligently and how much LESS we Stress about our finances all together! It's truly amazing!

11. Lincoln and I are opposites to say the least BUT our Love for each other trumps all of that <3

Happy Easter

On Easter Sunday we attended sacrament to give Praise & Thanks for the REAL meaning of Easter! Afterwards we got together with our Notoa/Leota/Tagata/Brady Aiga. Our Family's assignment was Desserts so we made Egg shaped Rice Krispies dipped in Chocolate & Sprinkles, a yellow cake with green frosting & MnM's, as well as a BIG bowl of fruit cocktail in Strawberry Jello and topped with Whipped Cream! All simple things but super cute and fun for the kids!!! Overall it was a nice & relaxing day with good food, good vibes, & good good company <3

Baby Vizion

My Due Date was Thursday February 2nd, it was also MY mama's birthday! My contractions started Wednesday (the 1st) afternoon but I realized I was in labor when the contractions kept getting closer together. They weren't sore [yet], just uncomfortable. I waited until the contractions were 3 minutes apart before going in to the Hospital for good. So I kept busy and we played card games and watched TV for hours until they were 3 minutes apart.

We got to the hospital and got all checked in by Midnight; by then I was 5cm dilated. I knew it was just the waiting game from then so we relaxed, watched TV, and I bounced around on the exercise ball trying to help baby girl along. haha. The contractions didn't actually get painful until I reached 7-8cm.

Soon after I felt the urge to push and within 10 minutes she was out! :) My doctor wasn't even in the room when I started pushing, he came just in time to catch her pretty much! It was truly an AMAZING experience and to top it off I accomplished my goal of going without pain meds. My mom had ALL 6 of us kids NATURALLY so I wanted to try and be as strong of a woman as she is!

Our second beautiful daughter Vizion was born at 4:46am on Thursday February 2nd 2012. She weighed 8lbs 6oz and was 19.5in long. We are so grateful and blessed for another healthy blessing in our lives!

First Snow of 2012

Since we've lived here in Washington (Summer of 2009), we've had a fair share of snowy winters. But because we live in the Seattle area which is also close to the coast, our snow days were never very full AND never lasted long. So when we heard on the news that we should be expecting snow this month, I assumed it would be like all the other "snow days" we've had; just enough snow to cover the sidewalks but not enough to build a snowman.  Can you say WAY WRONG!? Since Saturday, we've gotten about 8 inches of snow and counting! The most snow I've seen in our town since we've lived here in Washington!!

It's soooo beautiful but makes you NOT want to go anywhere far. haha. Below are some pics of Rush playing in the 'First Snow of 2012' with loved ones; also some of the beautiful snow covered nature I was able to capture<3

P.S. This is Rush's FIRST time interacting with Snow and she absolutely LOVES it! (Last winter she was 6-8 months so we never took her out in the snow.) So this is a video showing just HOW MUCH she can't get enough of the captivating fluffy flakes! :)
