My Due Date was Thursday February 2nd, it was also MY mama's birthday! My contractions started Wednesday (the 1st) afternoon but I realized I was in labor when the contractions kept getting closer together. They weren't sore [yet], just uncomfortable. I waited until the contractions were 3 minutes apart before going in to the Hospital for good. So I kept busy and we played card games and watched TV for hours until they were 3 minutes apart.
We got to the hospital and got all checked in by Midnight; by then I was 5cm dilated. I knew it was just the waiting game from then so we relaxed, watched TV, and I bounced around on the exercise ball trying to help baby girl along. haha. The contractions didn't actually get painful until I reached 7-8cm.
Soon after I felt the urge to push and within 10 minutes she was out! :) My doctor wasn't even in the room when I started pushing, he came just in time to catch her pretty much! It was truly an AMAZING experience and to top it off I accomplished my goal of going without pain meds. My mom had ALL 6 of us kids NATURALLY so I wanted to try and be as strong of a woman as she is!
Our second beautiful daughter Vizion was born at 4:46am on Thursday February 2nd 2012. She weighed 8lbs 6oz and was 19.5in long. We are so grateful and blessed for another healthy blessing in our lives!
Yayy! congrats kelcy! she's beautiful! and I'm glad you got to experience going all natural. I had both my kids natural, and I don't love it, but I love being able to walk and what not afterwards lol. Then again my labors sound like yours, with my daughter I didn't go in until my contractions were like 2 minutes apart. lol. I was about 8/9 cm by the time I actually got on the bed, and within the hour she was out. It was then that I knew I gotta do em like that, keep busy then go right when the baby about to come out. lol. Anyhow, that's awesome that you gave birth on your mom's birthday! Congrats again! Love u guys!
